01

HTML: submit and navigate

Use a form action and a native POST. Configure a thank-you URL when you want visitors to land on your own confirmation page.

02

JavaScript: stay on the page

Use Fetch for inline sending, success and error messages. Keep the visitor’s input when the request fails.

Submitted does not always mean delivered.

No saved submission?

Check the full endpoint, paused status, allowed origin and workspace allowance. Browser validation can also stop a form before it sends.

02

Saved, but no notification?

Check Spam and your recipient routing. A held submission does not queue normal notifications. Verify the intended recipient.

Notification queued or failed?

Inspect delivery history and the receiving mailbox’s spam folder. API acceptance confirms receipt of the submission, not inbox placement.

Frequently asked questions

Contact form
questions.

Can an HTML form send email without a backend?

It needs a service to receive the fields and send email. Form Koi runs that backend so you do not have to. A mailto action depends on the visitor’s email application and does not store a submission in Form Koi.

Is this a general email sending API?

Form Koi receives form submissions and sends configured notifications and optional consent-based replies. It is not a bulk newsletter sender or a general transactional email API.

Can I start free?

See the pricing page for the current Free allowance and plan limits. The allowance is shared across forms in your workspace.
