Which input type should I use for a phone number?
Use tel. It shows a numeric keypad on phones without rejecting spaces, plus signs or brackets the way type number would.
Does type email validate addresses?
Browsers check the basic shape of the address before submit. Still validate on the server, because the check is loose and can be bypassed.
